In search of nature and modernity: CCL Interior’s new surprise in Keraniganj
Nowadays, a restaurant or cafe in Bangladesh is not just about delicious food, but also an ‘experience’ for customers. People now want to spend time in a place where there is a touch of nature, free from the hustle and bustle of city life and at the same time a taste of nobility. We designed the “Times Square Lounge” project, built in the heart of Keraniganj, based on this philosophy.
Why is our project unique?
Our designers focused on three main areas in this project:
Natural Lighting and Riverside View: We have used large glass panels to utilise the natural beauty of Keraniganj. This provides ample natural light during the day and customers can enjoy the beautiful view of the river. The ‘River Side 1’ view of our project is great proof of this.
Signature Element – Spiral Staircase and Rooftop Glass House: The main attraction of the project is the majestic white spiral staircase and rooftop glass structure. It gives the space a dramatic look that is perfect for today’s generation’s social media or ‘Instagrammable’ frames.
Lighting and Material Selection: We have used layered lighting and wood textures on the ceiling, which makes the environment warm and luxurious. There is a separate dining layout for the ‘Kids Area’ and the family zone.
Current trends in cafe and lounge design in Bangladesh
The demand for open terraces and rooftop lounges is now high in Bangladesh. People prefer to see the open sky instead of enclosed walls. CCL Interior is creating that environment through indoor plantations and aesthetic furniture in every project.
